Pros

Was a good place to work for me but have tried to objective with the pros and cons 1. Talented and friendly people at the lower levels of the hierarchy 2. Excellent benefits (food, insurance, days off, pension etc..) 3. Great office in Cork 4. Good work life balance in engineering 5. Easy interview process (but does seem to work as the company gets in good engineers)

Cons

1. Poor leadership (Not sure what happened. They seemed to have direction, will and clear vision but it's become very muddled. Recent changes have been for the worse) 2. Lots of new middle manager hires, not sure how many of them are necessary 3. Very homogenous company (Have even met women in the company who think women cannot program well and the best way for women to get into software firms is through soft skill positions) 4. No emphasis on building a good Engineering Culture (good available talent being wasted to a certain extent) 5. Career progression can be quite difficult. Impression seems to matter more than actual work delivered 6. Salaries are much lower than industry standards

Pros

- Founding CEO & CTO actually care about their company and employees and treat them well. They are transparent, honest, and understand the importance of taking care of their people. - The majority of leaders and managers want to enable their people to succeed. - Many great managers and co-workers who contribute to an overall positive and respectful culture. - A company who actually cares about their customers and puts customer support at the top of their priority list. - Remote work is well supported and embraced. - Family/personal life is important and valued. - Excellent benefits and perks. How one is treated when leaving a company is a good indicator of the true heart and culture of their leaders and co-workers. In my final weeks of employment at Teamwork, I felt overwhelmingly appreciated and honored for my contributions and time invested there. And that was not only coming from my awesome co-workers, but even the founding CEO and CTO each took time to personally express their appreciation and wish me all the best in my next endeavor. And there were many others who made my exit so memorable and encouraging. That's the kind of people who make Teamwork an incredible place to work.

Cons

- Can be stressful at times trying to meet deadlines. - Significant learning curve for new hires, so onboarding could use a lot of improvement to bring new hires up to speed. - Team Lead positions need more vetting to prevent putting the wrong person in a position of leading others.
