We were delighted to welcome former Munster and Ireland rugby player Alan Quinlan into our Cork office this week as part of our focus on Green Ribbon Month. Alan spoke to a packed house on areas such as the stigma attached to mental health and how each and everyone of us has a part to play in reducing this stigma. We need to start having more open conversations and show empathy to those who may need support.
We had a full house this morning in our cycle centre. Summer must be here! Our Bike2Work scheme is a hugely popular benefit here at EY Ireland. The next round of applications for this opens up at the end of the month.
Structured Finance (SF) engages with EY’s largest global audit clients, providing a number of solutions that play a critical, confidence building role for transaction stakeholders, issuers, investors, and ratings agencies. These solutions include annual audits – statutory and group, tax advice and compliance, regulatory interpretation and support, agreed-upon procedures, accounting review services, comfort letters and internal control reviews. My name is Ramakrishnan Ramanathan and I joined EY Ireland's Assurance team in the summer of 2007, having previously worked in another Big 4 firm and a year’s stint in industry. Not only did I move between organisations, I also made the move between continents, which was one of my toughest and in retrospect, my most rewarding personal decision. The prospect of a career that involved complex problem-solving while making strategic business recommendations and thriving on a variety of industries is as attractive now as it was then.
