Pros

Working at Intercom has been an incredibly positive experience. The company truly values  employees and fosters a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture. Leadership is transparent, approachable, and genuinely invested in your growth and success. The work environment encourages innovation and creativity, with plenty of opportunities to make an impact and contribute to exciting projects, of which there are many. There is also great resources for professional development, and with unlimited annual leave the emphasis on work-life balance is crystal clear. If you're looking for a company that challenges you professionally while offering a positive  people-first culture, and is growing rapidly as the market leading AI first organisation, then Intercom is the place to be without a shadow of a doubt.

Cons

Like many rapidly growing tech companies, Intercom’s pace can be intense, which might not suit everyone.

Pros

Some of the best people to work with, always striving towards success, hardworking, smart and supportive . Interesting product with potential. Benefits and comp were okay. Historic inclusive initiatives and diversity. Autonomy and independence with time and responsibility management. Ability to work hybrid/some remote. Fast-paced, high-achieving atmosphere.

Cons

Behind in building infrastructure for scalability - especially now with a return to scrappy start-up mindset. Tends towards lumping and encouraging more and more responsibilities and expectations from you, framing them as upskilling opportunities. Poor hiring and leadership decisions in the past, with continuous understaffing in others. Reactive approach on macro- and micro-level. Communications and the way decisions are made and conveyed have been poor in recent months. Culture has massively shifted recently - stack ranking, decommissioning of active DEI, change in values. Lack of management training.

Pros

- Intercom used to be an exciting, fast-paced, and kind workplace full of sharp people with inspiring ideas. That place is no more, though; things have taken a U-turn since the recent leadership changes.

Cons

- The staff is demotivated and unengaged. - Hard work isn't recognized. - The strategy keeps changing, so people don't get to work on what recruiting promised them . - Lack of diversity among leaders.
