Pros

Good people are there if you can find them

Cons

Management are supporting pushing staff out the door. There is a constant dark cloud in the office. Immense pressure on some staff which can't be good for mental health and work life balance. Social club events, company events and anything fun all canceled due to cut backs , it's all long hours no reward. Communication is so poor and feedback ignored. No investment in staff and only offer pointless initiatives that go now where but look good on paper. Is now a place to avoid on Tech market

Pros

- Teammates and coworkers make the day and place enjoyable. - Company offers a good benefit package

Cons

- Tech debt is one of the reasons that company struggles to release new features which then leads to: - Insane pressure to deliver things, rushing the teams to release brand new products full of bugs. - IT management has no clue of what they are doing, things are decided on their own terms, they don’t listen to the teams and force hard deadlines that cannot be met due to technical difficulties cause by tech debt or other priorities in a sprint. - Everything in a sprint is a top priority and tomorrow if your team is lucky, they will have another urgent priority to work on. You can’t focus in a single feature in a sprint, you work in 3 or more features in each sprint and they are equally important (not to mention the low dev and QA resources for the volume of work). - If you’re not good friends with certain level people in the company your concerns won’t be heard, you need to be friends with upper management to get what you want or to be heard. I’m afraid if you keep going as you are the company won’t survive, and it’s not because of the covid situation, it’s because of the lack of leadership and vision (specially on the tech side).

Pros

People are nice, and not responsible for the bad management and old fashion technology and company culture. Drinks and snacks provided, and a free meal once a week.

Cons

Management is unskilled and unprofessional, following old procedures and giving opportunities for career growth only based on relationships. Decision making is based also on relationships within the company and not on merit. Their technology is outdated and changes take far too long.
