Pros

The training department are excellent and all the initiatives to help people feel like it's a great place to work are lovely. Generally most people working here are absolutely lovely and there is a lot of 'fluffy stuff' like nights out and in house events that break up the monotony.

Cons

The interview was a pack of lies and management don't care about you unless you can bill straight away. The salary is a joke, every other agency pays more as I have found out from interviewing recently. I left a job with a significantly higher salary to move into recruiting and none of my previous experience at management level was taken in account. Nobody is treated equally with favouritism rife within teams and from higher management. Training does not transfer over onto the desk, through no fault of the training department, I have seen more than one person ask for help applying the training into their role but they were either let go or moved with the phrase 'recruiting isn't for everyone' thrown around to explain away managements inability to develop people. The only people doing well either have good line managers (which are scarce) or by sheer luck (which is me). Most line managers were promoted to give top billers more salary and stop them from leaving for an agency that pays more, this just means that you have no people managers which is a recipe for disaster. Unfortunately I am just keeping the head down until I leave which will be soon and anyone else I talk to are the same. Everyone seems to have been accused of 'talking at the water cooler' or being distracted at the last round of performance reviews so it looks like a tactic of bullying your staff into submission is the only tool in the MDs belt, she could really do with a course on how to run a business and never be allowed to speak to anyone without a member of HR present. The way she talks about people behind their backs is shocking and we will probably all be called in about this review like the last time a bad review went up about her. At least this time I will be accused correctly. I also know for a fact that most of the positive reviews posted recently were management trying to hide the bad reviews so take heed in the bad ones.

Pros

The people that you meet working through this absolute horror are some of the best people you will ever meet, they are also immensely over qualified to be working for such pedants. You will meet engineers, doctors, artists, pilots, students, activists and all the kinds of people that are components of an upstanding tight knit community united as one under tyrannical management.

Cons

Your value at this company is determined by how many secrets you can keep, how many violations you are willing to overlook and how much fraud you can overlook. The atmosphere is extremely tense and the management is careless, they have put their employees in the face of danger and offered no assurances or support. What support has been offered is insulting. CPL fb is not interested in making good moral decisions that affect it's staff or the global community it serves, but rather to keep FB out of the line of PR fires. Management is incompetent and subsequent hiring is riddled with nepotism. If you come to work here you WILL break! Mentally, physically and emotionally. They will chip away at your dignity but will not fire you, because then you would be entitled to a severance package and given the companies high turnover rate the only way they'll get rid of you is to wear you down so much you make the decision to leave. Even if you have nothing lined up. The HR support is is abysmal and presents nothing in the way of an objective liaison between management and staff. When they make an offer of employment they don't give you a fixed amount, it's a range and even then you never make the money they initially told you you would. If they've offered you 25-27k. You are going to make no more than 24. Their argument is with overtime and working bank holidays that's how much you could make. However this is not feasible with the amount of employees that are picked to work weekends (like it's a privilege to give up your holidays and time off) and the amount you get paid for that work. Everything is a facade here, the employees are the most overqualified people you will meet on earth. The management however are a bunch of recruiters who were thrust into management and then pulled in their friends. They haven't the faintest clue about people management, professional etiquette or employee respect.
