I applied online and then I went to three different panda expresses in addition to a job fair that they had and was interviewed at each of these locations for positions starting at entry-level going to Cook going to shift lead going to assistant manager, and was turned down by all of them. I am professional both in appearance and in my interviews and I have lots of food surface experience, customer service experience and even management experience and this is how they responded. Mist of the time it seemed like they were just asking questions just to get through the interview not that they were paying attention to my answers. I just find them very odd the way they conduct themselves with prospective candidates.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would you say you learned well and took with you from past management positions?
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Panda Express in Apr 2025
Interview
I had interview with them for Assistant Manager position, unfortunately, the experience was not what i had hoped for. I was interviewed by 3 people, then after that, 1 more person joined the interview. And from the start, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming.
They seemed more focus on putting pressure on me than having a genuine conversation about my qualifications or potential fit for the team. It felt like they were trying to make the process unnecessarily difficult rather than trying to know me or explain the role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Tell us about yourself
2. If you always want to work at PD, why did you not apply to PD before? Why do you wait until now?
3. Do you have experience about cost and loss?
They also asked me other questions personally, not related to work.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Panda Express (Buffalo Grove, IL) in Jun 2024
Interview
The interview process was straightforward—I went through three interviews in total. The team was laid-back and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere. However, the store has strict rules and policies that everyone is expected to follow closely.
