On Tuesday 13th February 2024, some of our colleagues commenced their QQI Level 6 traineeship in Supervisory Management & Leadership. One of several development programs offered in Applegreen to help aid colleagues in their current and future roles. This traineeship is delivered in partnership with the Educational Training Board and takes place in Baldoyle Co. Dublin. We wish all these colleagues the best of luck as continue this learning and development journey!
The Applegreen Winter Rally took place on Friday the 15th of December. The teams had a brilliant day full of fun and games and all our sites created a very warm welcome to everyone visiting sites across Ireland. A fantastic ā¬22,414.35 was raised for our charity partner Barretstown!
Applegreen Charity Hike! A huge thank you to the Applegreen team from sites and head office who participated in the Applegreen charity hike on the 13th of October. We are thrilled to share that together, we raised an incredible ā¬3,950! We are well on our way to our ambitious goal of reaching ā¬1 million over the next 3 years for our charity partnership with Barretstown.
Award Winner! A big congratulations to Evie Whelehan, our braeburn Commercial Brand Lead, on winning the Early Careers Award for Communications and Marketing Professional of the Year. The event took place in the Guinness Storehouse on the 28th of September and saw Evie pitted against some high calibre competition. This is a super achievement for Evie and is in recognition of the passion, drive and creativity she pours into her work. Well done Evie!

Management Development Programme Graduation We are thrilled to announce that our colleagues have successfully completed their Management Development Programme! š Over the past several months, our dedicated team of managers has been working hard to hone their leadership skills and enhance their understanding of the retail industry. Applegreen Partners up with Barretstown Charity The Applegreen Charitable Fund has today announced a three-year partnership with Barretstown, becoming one of the largest annual contributors to the childrenās charity. This significant partnership, launched at the charityās headquarters at Barretstown Castle, Ballymore Eustace in Co Kildare will see Applegreen commit to raising ā¬1 million for the charity from 2023 ā 2025. As part of the fundraising pledge, The Applegreen Charitable Fund will support Barretstownās world famous onsite residential camp programmes for children and their families affected by serious illnesses, and will result in supporting 3,000 priceless days of therapeutic programmes for a seriously ill child and their families from across Ireland, over the next three years. Placing families at the heart of the partnership, Applegreen will become title sponsor for a week long Applegreen Summer Camp this July, as well as supporting the magical Barretstown Winter Wonderland experience in November.
