Pros

- Recently acquired by Salesforce, hopefully, this will make a better impact in the long term. - Some teams get treated really well. Depending who your director is, could make a great difference.

Cons

- Bullying and mistreatment. Even when being discriminated and escalating things to Human Resources you don’t feel supported. Social exclusion plays a big part in different teams and nobody seems to care. - Bullying in the workplace is a repeated and inappropriate behaviour. Either conducted by one person or a group of people towards someone else. Social exclusion occurs in the workplace and the sad reality is that it really hurts, it impacts someone’s confidence and performance. - Patronizing leadership, not aligned to company values. - A real micro-management company: There are indeed a few good leaders, and few disrespectful leaders. You can get direct message by your director telling you to stop working with your team-mate on something, in order to be quiet and to get back to business cases. You can feel discriminated and threatened. - Comments and jokes on Slack channel related to “alcoholism”, which can be harmful for people who have suffered or had friends who suffered from it. This behaviour might not be aligned with the 9 grounds of discrimination. - Company values are not lived by on a daily basis, they are only buzzwords on the walls. You can feel that the Culture is not always respected between the different teams and leadership. - A Company that talks about inclusion and working as a team, yet people are treated differently and not aligned with the so loved Salesforce Ohana. - You don’t feel that you can voice your ideas and feelings. - Very large cases load. You are expected to work longer hours without extra pay, recognition or getting some time back. If you leave the office on time, you are not seen a good employee. - The office is not great compare to other tech companies at this level. Quality of office spaces is not great, some rooms are really hot without proper heating as well as other meeting rooms being really cold, which is managed by the landlord and not in control of facilities. Moving from really warm to really cold meeting rooms during the day, feels really unhealthy and uncomfortable. - Favouritism treatment and who you are friends with, is what makes a difference at Tableau in Dublin. - Not many possibilities for career growth. - Lack of proper communication from leadership and lack of experience from some managers in Dublin. - Benefits and reward package not competitive compared to other companies in Ireland. - Concerned about miss-alignments between Salesforce and Tableau. While they preach similar values, at Tableau you don’t feel that your word matters, and that they care about your emotional well-being. If you have proven that you’ve been social excluded and discriminated, nothing will be done to resolve it. - Misleading Job & Benefits Descriptions: during the interview process you are being told that you won’t have to worry about food, that they got catering and free food. This I partially true, as it only happens 3 days every quarter end.. Not the most health environmental friendly place to cook or prepare food, one of the grills in the main kitchen is being constantly used by different people at lunch time and often left dirty. This also created an anti-environmental friendly scenario with plenty of food waste each week. If you work for another tech company in Dublin, you should definitely avoid Tableau. Good luck if you do decide or if you need to join!

Pros

Many , company Dinners , food in kitchen included , awesome team and some nice managers. If all goes well you will have a decent place there, beware that some people don´t work that much but make it look like it is ok.

Cons

One or two Managers make it a show of themselves. Abusive talk by one manager and was let go after managers kept talking behind my back for ages on my case. Sad to see noone actually approaches you on the thing got get things sorted. Left a great job for them. Never saw these actions within management in other companies before. Please watch out before you sign! Nice facade but in reality I would not trust them again.

Pros

Free food in the office Employees are all very friendly and very capable Nice location in Ballsbridge Good perks and benefits

Cons

Low salary no longer competitive in Dublin. Poor management decisions. Since Salesforce acquired Tableau, 2 VPNs, 2 email accounts, 2 Wikis, basically 2 of most things making the day to day very difficult. SF also added a lot of extra work for employees, loads of crap "Ohana" trainings, endless surveys, etc. Opened a new office in HYD, India. The employees do not have a clue what they are doing even after completing "training" and spend most of the day pinging the group chats for help, often before even attempting to work the issue themselves. Mass exodus of employees from the Dublin office in the last 12 months, all replaced with new employees in India which puts extra strain on the current trained employees in Dublin to do more and more. Management would rather have cases assigned to engineers over sitting in the queue however assignments are so frequent that engineers get overloaded leading to a large number of employees taking mental health breaks due to the stress and continuous onslaught of case assignments, case numbers are crazy and continue to grow. Put simply we do not have enough employees to deal with the incoming work. Employees are now forced to work mandatory weekend cover on top of their 5 day work week as it still falls below the max 48hrs a week. Tableau is a great product but recent versions have been released with major defects that have increased the incoming case load dramatically. Engineers now spend a large part of their time fixing customer relationships rather than fixing issues as wait times for cases are so large. There is little to no chance of career opportunities and growth, internal hires do not get the same salary increase as external hires would get offered for the same role.
