Pros

- Greats moments with amazing people at Voxpro before the change to Telus - Salary bonus for another language than English

Cons

- Gross Salary under the market - Targets too high without justification - Harassment - Pressure put on tenured agents - Being lured by career opportunities to push us to the limit as much as possible, but "no opportunities for you this month" - FIRED instead of redirected to another contract with agents needs. Did I say fired? No, it's a temporary lay-off announced in less than 7 minutes. That means they have the rights not to pay the agents of the contract during that time. Regarding the rents in Ireland, Telus is deliberately putting people under a bridge, with children and mortgages, without any shame.

Money. Temporary work from home due to COVID-19.

Cons

Training is terrible- doesn’t prepare you for anything. They did not provide a script or allow us to listen to recorded calls. Just had to make it up as we went. Extremely strict on timing. If you begin at 9am you better be ready to take calls at 8.59 because if you are even 30 secs late, you are penalised. You receive only 30 mins break which is more like 25 due to needing to sign in early to not even be 10 secs late.

A lot of (unrecognised) talent there. Some absolutely fantastic people.

Cons

The company boasts about caring about people first. That is not my experience, sadly. Bullying, harassment, lack of leadership, lack of communication, exploitation, waste of work, disrespect, retaliation... That is my experience. There is more value put on perception than actual results, and it's quite hard to make yourself and your team look good when nobody even reads your messages or emails and you're not invited to or told about meetings. This is yet another company where the people making decisions do not have a good idea of what they are making decisions about, and the people who know what they are doing are ignored. And gotten rid of if they dare make noise about it. The internal tools meant to be improving work are dreadful. Buggy reports, limited features, not intuitive. There is no centralised source of information, everything is scattered in places you have to know about to be able to find it. If it's even documented anywhere, as the lack of processes and procedures is baffling. Attempting to organise the chaos and facilitate work for employees is viewed as frivolous, the focus is on producing a vast amount of bad to mediocre output as fast as possible.
