Pros

- Believe it or not, still provides a competitive salary and if you do not get old, some job security

Cons

- Has been losing perks in exchange of nothing and for no reason - We lost 1 month of remote working from abroad - We're going back to full office work - Management is absolutely incompetent - You can lose your health if you don't manage your job yourself, as management does not manage anything.

Great people, company not so much

Pros

Same as usual, some great people to work with, great managers if you are lucky. Pretty good work life balance (workload wise, if you ignore forced commuting). Ok benefits. Good career (lateral) mobility, great opportunities to start a career in tech.

Cons

Dusty forced smile old school American corporate culture, forced RTO, average to subpar hardware, ridiculous salary hikes that you “should be grateful for”, poor recognition, very slow product development, penny pinching, etc. All of these send a clear message to employees: “don’t work too hard - you’re a meaningless number anyway”. Result, not a lot of people care… Not too bad if you’re looking for a “cruise” or pre-retirement job.
