Pros

There’s absolutely none. They can pay for health insurance but you will spend more money when they cause you a disability or sickness.

Cons

If you’re considering joining this company, especially in certain high-pressure teams, I strongly encourage you to look deeper than the polished public image and five-star reviews. Behind the scenes, many employees experience a culture of bullying, gossip, and toxic management practices. Despite having internal departments supposedly dedicated to “integrity” or “employee wellbeing,” raising genuine concerns often leads to further scrutiny rather than support. Bullying is frequently enabled or ignored by HR, and those who speak up may find themselves isolated, pushed out, or their pay withheld. Many employees are afraid to report mistreatment due to fear of retaliation—and sadly, that fear is not unfounded. Even after leaving, former staff may find themselves chasing unpaid final salaries, missing payslips, and complete silence from HR. This isn’t just about bad management—this is about basic ethical and legal responsibilities being ignored. For a company that claims to have a heart, the treatment of employees says otherwise. The emotional and financial toll of this environment has lasting consequences. Some of us left not just burned out—but with serious health challenges made worse by the experience. If you’re reading this, especially as a new joiner or potential hire: ask questions, observe carefully, and protect your wellbeing first.

Pros

While it is true that the salary at the company can be enticing at first, as noted below in the cons section, there are also several drawbacks. However, it is possible that you may come across a few good colleagues at the company if you are fortunate.

Cons

My time at NetApp was short-lived, but unfortunately, it was a terrible experience that left a lasting negative impact Throughout my time there, I experienced a significant amount of harassment and bullying from managers and leaders, which made me feel intimidated and powerless. I would often end up in tears after each shift, and I felt physically sick every time I logged onto my laptop, knowing that I had to face another day of feeling devalued and mistreated by my manager. The bullying and intimidation started during the recruitment process, where managers spoke poorly about my previous experience and promotions, and questioned why I would apply for a position that seemed like a step back. However, I was initially excited about the opportunity, given the positive experience I had with the recruitment team, and the attractive salary. Once I started, I discovered that the team I was assigned to had mostly long-term employees who had been laid off or fired, leaving only two remaining. Additionally, the management team had no respect for employee privacy, often sharing personal medical information with other team members, and gossiping about individuals in the company. They would also screenshot messages and send them around, creating a hostile and toxic environment. Despite my efforts to stand up for myself, I was constantly shouted at and reprimanded for being unprofessional. Moreover, the frequent layoffs and firings made it difficult to establish trust between coworkers, as people constantly worried about job security. However, when I attempted to address this with management, my concerns were dismissed, and I was told not to bring up the topic again. I would advise anyone considering applying to NetApp to examine the statistics on their layoffs, which disproportionately affect minority and female employees. Unless you are willing to work in a toxic environment with little support for your physical and mental well-being, I recommend looking elsewhere for employment. No one deserves to be treated poorly and made to feel like less than a human being.
