HR seem to concentrate on the wrong things

Good pay, canteen with decent food, gym, good location as GCD area is building up, 70% of people are grand

Good systems. Nice building... thats about it

Cons

Worked in support area, pay was very low, cultural divide between fee earners and support is toxic. Very obvious that MD and Partners do not value their HR or Support functions, it seems HR in particular have no power and are entirely administrative which cascades down into poor people management at all levels. No promotion amongst support staff. No bonuses. No training programmes. Made to feel like 2nd class citizen. Extremely hostile workplace. Atrocious pension scheme and no health insurance. Zero transparency.

Job completely the opposite as to what was described in interview. No team work whatsoever - one person does all the work to avail of all the credit. Toxic working atmosphere No work life balance at all! Unhealthy atmosphere I resigned and my department manager never said a word to me!
