No remote work. None. Zero. This isn't a hybrid situation with room to negotiate. If something goes wrong in your personal life and you can't physically walk through the door, that's your problem. For a company operating in the IT space, the irony is not lost on me. If your car blows up, consider yourself constructively dismissed.
Promotions? What are those? It's discussed. It's dangled. It does not reliably materialize. I watched people do everything right for extended periods and get nothing but a longer wait and a different excuse. If you're coming here for career growth, prepare to be disappointed.
Do not trust what leadership tells you. I want to be careful how I say this, but the gap between what gets communicated in one-on-ones and what actually happens is wide enough to fall into. Verbal commitments are worth very little here. If you get promised ANYTHING, demand it in writing. If they say they can't, or won't, or "can't guarantee", take that as a No.
The turnover will tell you everything. You won't have to take my word for it. Look around after your first few months. Count how many people are quietly interviewing. Count how many are already gone. The org is bleeding, and it's been bleeding for a while. Walk in and ask the nearest person what their goals are, and you will hear nothing but "I'm getting certifications so I can leave". Layoffs are a recurring feature, not a fluke. I was present for four of them. One hit global support directly. Budget a little extra anxiety for that. You will NOT survive.
