Pros

1. If you don't have a degree or if you have a criminal record, this is the place for you. They will hire you. 2. You can do nothing at all for your entire 'career' and still get paid. Nobody cares what you do. Performance is not acknowledged so you might as well do nothing. 3. You cannot get fired. Even if you commit a crime in public, even if you never hit your targets, no matter what you do, you will not get fired. Simply because nobody cares what you do or who you are.

Cons

1. Management has all the power and will go to incredible lengths to destroy the whole organization. 2. Long, cumbersome processes for literally everything. Getting my P45 form took 4 months. 3. 90% of the employees have been there less than 1 year. They cannot retain employees because it is a horrible, depressing place. The 10% who are there more than 1 year either have no degree, a criminal record, or are too old to be employed anywhere else. 4. Food is disgusting and crazy expensive. 3 euro for a coffee, 8 euro for lunch. 5. It's in the middle of nowhere (Mulhuddart) and you have to pay 7 euro a day for the shuttlebus. 6. No health insurance, no benefits, no stock plan, absolutely zero benefits. 7. Would not even want my worst enemy to work here. The IBM Digital Sales Centre in Dublin is worse than death.

Pros

Training (World class with a lot of variety) Name recognition

Cons

- useless work, overpaid admin - worst management style (micromanagement, bully when they don't get what they want) - no benefit at all- compared to other tech companies they are clueless - no free coffee and expensive lunch - long commute if you're living in city center + you need to pay 3.5€/journey to sit on a crappy bus - very rigid salaries and don't pay well compare to competition - very stupid and long processes - company culture is that's IBM we have always done this so accept it or leave- not open to change - too many internal meetings to try to justify their jobs - Stupid focus on digital selling while they don't know what to do with it. Give the tools and proper training and let people decide what's best for them stop trying to force it on people (i.e webinar are useless for some BU such as hardware) - Only company in Dublin to my knowledge where business dev reps are not working together with sales rep on the same territory. Therefore no synergy in creating new opportunities

Pros

- Flexibility: It's possible to work from home when needed. / Flexible work hours, as long as you do the weekly 40 hours - Stability: It's rare to hear about layoffs. - It's relatively easy to move to different positions within IBM and even try a new career where you don't have experience, but your salary won't drop. - It's not easy, but it's possible to move from Country A to Country B and find a job in IBM Country B. - I had a very positive experience with the teams and managers I worked with. - Big database of internal training and e-learning

Cons

- Company doesn't invest back in employees, meaning it doesn't pay for external training, external certifications or university degrees very easily. - In my personal experience, it is not easy to get a salary increase, even being a top performer. Most people get it as a counter offer... and of course, you must be willing to leave the company in case they say NO. - There's too much paper work to get anything
