      There is nothing good about working for this company

      Cons

      Management has no idea what's going on, micromanage staff and have mixed messages. Dont coach or do skill assessments. No communication between departments

      A company that was once great took a real nosedive in recent years

      Pros

      Most people who work at this company are just incredible. They are this company's greatest asset and they are definitely not being appreciated enough (see Cons)

      Cons

      After the company went private everything slowly went downhill. A series of really unfortunate business decisions in the recent years led to the company reaching rock bottom, and instead of taking responsibility for those decisions the answer from the board was to 3 rounds of layoffs in 2023. A series of senior level leaders (from product and design to marketing and HR) leaving one after the other throughout the year confirms that things are looking grim for GoTo. In the product org, there's too much micro-management. The company hires senior contributors and then a bunch of middle managers to oversee them. I feel like you either trust a senior employee to do their work independently, or you don't, and then they're probably not a great fit for your company.

      - Good benefits (healthcare insurance) - Office has free snacks and coffee - Community lunches - Reasonable career opportunities

      Cons

      - Office politics - Poor management - Poor communication - Unreasonable KPIs - No sense of team or belonging to the 'bigger company' - Lower than average salary - Poor work/life balance (no WFH in emergencies) - Awkward systems & procedures in place
