High staff turnover - Residential Support Worker Resilience Healthcare Employee Review

Pros

Opportunities to learn and some excellent staff members. Opportunities to get experience.

Cons

Can't compete for staff with other companies in the sector because they don't provide benefits. Good staff come and leave when they get a better offer. Rostering and understaffing leads to major staff burnout. Staff with no passion or interest in supporting people with disabilities are hired because they are so short staffed.

Pros

Coworkers are really great people.

Cons

Really unhealthy work environment that doesn't match values of organization. It's draining, professionals you interact with are disrespectful and it doesn't feel rewarding. Rape crisis work can be really disheartening.
