Pros
I loved my job. Was there nearly 6 years. The people where amazing, can't fault them. Every McDonald's is the same, all people have personalities that make the job great! The banter is great, the customers are horrific but the job is easy. The hours are flexible for college/school/personal life. The work is enjoyable when you've the great crew around you. You've the inside jokes, the friendship for life, the work nights out (which are always eventful, and always end up in a McDonald's after), you've the "time on a plain ham", the person who orders a fillet.. secretly hate them, there's the uncertainty if you'll ever have ice cream and then there's the phone ringing. The putting money on who's going to be sick! It's a great job for people that are not sure on life, want experience, want mates for life and a laugh.
Cons
No service rewards. Nothing at all made me different from someone that just walked in that door to be employed. No thanks for not leaving when the turnover rate is significant, no thanks for my years. You've to work under managers who don't talk to their employees right. You've to watch and nothing gets done. I watched a girl have an anxiety attack over a manager, same manager makes a tick out of you infornth customers(sorry for the language) they pushes past you, at the ice bucket and she doesn't say excuse me she says "move". There two faced, talks about a person and to there face says nothing but it's sad because the store manager does nothing, the other crew are scared of them. Although they had there favourites mind you.. nothing ever gets said to them but if your not.. god forbid! Pulls the same person into the office to scream at people that are on break, no thanks, your not aloud laugh near them, not aloud talk .. you get in trouble. The management is at fault. Me and about 20 others in last few years have all left over managers bullying and nothing has been done. I would still work there if it wasn't for the management.
