Progressive values overshadowed by focus on profit - VP Product Management Ingersoll Rand Employee Review

Great place to worknwith great people.

Lot of work to do but it's a self starters dream.

I have worked here for a good while in sales, it's been a great job to me. IR has worked well with me to ensure that I am well taken care of, personally and professionally. I am held to a high standard, but I like that. Benefits are solid, compensation is fair, if not better than I would have expected, and there's plenty of opportunities to sell these products. The brand name is well known and that goes a long way when selling anything. I have strong relationships with my customer base, I have a great team in the office (service coordinators, service supervisor, operations, inside sales etc) that make it easy to get things done. On top of that we have lots of great technicians which go a long way with customer experience. I hope to retire here one day. I have had lots of opportunities to further my career and I do appreciate that. The company is actively invested in developing new tools to help in our day to day.

There have been a handful of reorganizations/rebalancings/restructurings, whatever you want to call it, since I have been here. It's worked out every time, but it always throws us off for a year or so to get back into the swing of things. Management can be somewhat, but not overly political. Nothing you wouldn't expect in a large company.
