Pros

Multinational and young environment. Located downtown. Cakes, beers, PS4, gym membership, breakfast once a week.

Cons

Process, software and values stuck around 2005. Management is untransparent, manipulative and won't listen to employees. Some employees with influence (because of their milleage in the company) are incompetent and close-minded; they are defending their position by bullying others and going behind people's back, making the workplace a social distopy and stopping positive changes. This place will eat your soul.

Pros

Company trips to exotic places every 2 years, flexible hours, gym membership, beer fridge, great office, despite the location, PS4, ping-pong table.

Cons

HK, the rising star at ComeOn, assuming a leadership role as CTO (not being himself technical minded at all) proved to be a total disappointment, making some key people leave the company. Together with management, they are very deceitful people, don't implement change when needed, and are definitely trying to keep costs down for acquisition purposes. Not to talk about the platform, which is pretty bad altogether. Plus, Swedish senior developers have the reigns and ears of management and basically leave out other people from participating in talks and in the much needed change process.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you did not fully enjoy your time with us at ComeOn! Over the last year we have listened to feedback from our emplyees and are making changes to the organisation. As with any acquisition and fast paced growth this is an ongoing process and will not be fixed over night. Communicaion within the organisation is key to a succesful transition and we hope the recent changes will encourage employees and manages to talk openly about the processes and technology we have in place. The HR team have noted your comments and want to thank you for taking the time to write them. This will help us to continue to grow and learn as employers and managers.

Pros

Great for someone with no iGaming experience wanting to get a foot in the industry.

Cons

At ComeOn, you are simply a machine. Management will never show you any appreciation and will never notice the extra mile that you go, so motivation is at an all-time low. Your ideas and suggestions for improvement will never be taken into consideration because you are only a robot. A disposable one. If you have any experience in Gaming, do not go here because you will be surrounded by completely inexperienced people. Management does not invest in proper training, so you have new people starting out on the wrong foot straight away and learning bad habits which are then very hard to change. Management is not interested in the quality of their employees, but only in quantity, paying low wages, and working ridiculous, unnecessary and unsocial hours. These conditions are ok for someone who is desperate to get into Gaming, but most of their experienced and qualified staff have already left because of these reasons. Promotions are only given to slackers, problematic employees and those who agree blindly with management. If you have any experience, vision and ambition, or come up with ideas for improvement, you will slowly be pushed out the door. Also, if you are not part of the Maltese “in crowd” forget that you will get any proper and fair treatment. It is only ok if you are the best friend of the manager. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I'm really sorry to hear that your experience working at ComeOn was not in line with our efforts of being a great place to work. My colleagues in the HR team and I read your comments in detail and by being so honest and open, it allows us to have a valuable insight into the experience you had here and what we can do to make things, quite simply, BETTER. I do abssolutely agree with you that our company offers the chance for people to join an iGaming company without always having to have iGaming experience. We want to hire great people and industry experience is not always a deal breaker. We will continue to strive in hiring great talent from multiple disciplines and industries. It is a real shame to read your comments about how you felt when you worked here and that we weren't able to make things right for you. Coincidentally, one of our main areas of focus following the merge is to enable better communication within the company on a global level so I see great improvements to be had with employees being able to have the best channel to suggest and propose their ideas. I'm really looking forward to seeing that evolve and taking action on some great ideas that will improve everyone's life here at work. We have also recently completed a big exercise to assess where we need to allocate better resources and budget and one of these areas is training and development. The provision of this by the company has been a bit ad hoc in the past, such is the way when a company grows super fast. However, now with more power to managers and guidance from HR team, employees will see the benefits of more available training and development. We know this won't happen overnight and will actually take some months for processes and practicalities to become the 'way to go' but we are really impassioned to get there and have fun along the way. Working hours is a really important topic that you brought up. Sometimes it can be super busy and stressful and we recognise the extremely hardworking and dedicated staff members we have. We really appreciate you bringing this up though and will be keeping an eye on things on a wider scale and how we can improve in this area. We have quite a good track record of people progressing internally across all our offices globally and this is something we intend to maintain. Appreciate that your observation of promotions was less than good and we take note of this. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts - this really helps us to grow and learn whilst also providing the motiviation to change things for the better. Best wishes to you!
