work life balance poor, management is horrible and decisions are made based on friendships and not merit. One word to describe: TOXIC. Diversity is non existent. Never felt included

I had a very disappointing experience working at Cloudera. The company is highly controlling and micromanaged, with rigid procedures that stifle creativity and independence. Management's constant oversight makes it difficult to work effectively and confidently. The work environment is toxic, with bullying by managers being a common occurrence. Unfortunately, HR and leadership seem to accept and overlook this behavior, offering no support or resolution when issues are raised. Additionally, my department was severely underfunded. There was no budget allocated for tools that could have made our jobs more efficient, further adding to the frustration and inefficiency. Overall, Cloudera's oppressive management style and lack of support made it an extremely stressful and unpleasant place to work. I cannot recommend this company to anyone seeking a positive and supportive workplace.
