Pros

5 words?!!! There is none!!!

Cons

They are awful to work for, no respect or appreciation for their staff, the performance reviews are a popularity contest, if you're in with the right people you're alright otherwise these are just a way of pushing people out. If you're face doesn't fit you're out, if you're not a 'yes man' you're out. Always understaffed, no resources... And everything that goes wrong is put on staff in stores. Boots you should be ashamed for treating good loyal employees this way.

Pros

Having been so long with the company, since i left school, I am now on over €12 per hour with 5 weeks annual leave. These are great incentives to stay in the job but the boredom and frustration of filling shelves for 37.5hrs a week is heartbreaking. I will never be promoted to another position and endured repeated 'performance reviews' from a line manager who had an issue with me. The next person in that role was astonished that were any issues as he found my work and attitude exemplary. But it is clear to me now that I will have to remain in my current role until I make the decision to leave.

Cons

I've been with the company almost a decade and have been passed over for training and promotion repeatedly despite having a broad range of skills across running the store and people management from working in a previous store. I stack shelves all day. I can do rota, photo counter, daily cash and weekly cash. I can open and close the stores, print all relevant reports for day or start of week. I genuinely enjoyed the thrill of running a store in absence of management and was well able for it. Now I stack shelves all day, every day
