Description Teléfonos de México (Telmex) is one of Mexico's top providers of fixed-line telecommunications services with about 15 million lines in service. The company also offers Internet access and satellite television through a partnership with DISH Network. In addition, Telmex offers services for managing corporate networks, telephone and computer equipment sales, interconnection services to other telecom carriers, and runs about 400 retail stores. Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim Helú raised his stake in Telmex to 93% in 2011 as part of a broader restructuring of his Latin American telecom holdings that brought Telmex, Telmex Internacional, and Carso Global Telecom under the control of his mobile phone company América Móvil.
