In England, "Go-Ahead, make my day" might simply be a request for a train schedule. The Go-Ahead Group makes lots of people's days by providing them with train and bus transportation. The company is one of the UK's largest public-transport providers. Its 65%-owned Govia unit, a joint venture with France's Keolis, operates the Southern and Southeastern rail franchises in the UK. Go-Ahead provides bus services in London and elsewhere in England through several subsidiaries (including Southern Vectis), which collectively operate more than 3,500 buses. In addition, Go-Ahead offers aviation support services such as cargo and baggage handling, but it has announced it is selling those operations.
