STERIS Laboratory Assistant interview questions

Three people conducted the interview, which was very unprofessional, although they referred to it as informal. I was asked very little technical questions or any questions that tried to get to know you as a serious applicant regarding skills, attitude, knowledge, ambition etc. The overall atmosphere was very patronizing and a little demeaning. The overall attitude of the panel was disinterest and just mere chit chat more for their amusement than anything else. It seemed as if they had just printed off my CV and had little or no time to read it or be familiar with it before the interview. The position required the employee to cover the month of June which left me curious as to why they left the interview to the 6th June. I had the impression that the interview was merely a formality and that the position had been offered internally which is a common occurrence in these companies in my locality. A current employee who I spoke to outside of the interview informed me of this. Never received contact after the interview to inform me of how I performed which is unprofessional and not helpful to candidates. Please don't waste your time interviewing for this company as it was a thoroughly negative experience. To management: please stop wasting peoples time and energy on interviews that are not going to be conducted seriously.
