Competency based interview: tell us about a difficult assignment you managed, tell us about a time you had to motivate a team. Panel seemed to expect very conventional answers. About 45 minutes.
I applied for a Programme Officer position within one of the OSCE's field missions. I was invited to complete a written assignment after 1.5 months, then after 2 weeks I was invited for an online interview. The interview was competency based with questions in English and one question in Russian, but you could tell the whole process is very fake and some members of the panel behaved as if they saw the questions for the first time during the interview itself. After 3 weeks I was asked for updated references which I provided immediately, however HR responded to my references acknowledging receipt of their feedback only one month (!) later. Its been almost 6 months since application deadline was closed and i have no idea about the status of my application, and HR is not responding to any of my follow-up emails. The vacancy is however still active on their portal, which basically means no one has accepted the job offer yet. Super lengthy process and terrible communication with the HR leading to a complete waste of your time and hopes.
