Those who are job searching (either while employed or unemployed) — what’s working and what’s not? I’ve been really trying to network on LinkedIn, get referrals when possible, and hunt down hiring managers and recruiters. But boy, it’s a tough game. And exhausting. What’s working for you?

Do y’all wait to notify your current job until the new job’s background check is completed and you receive your official start date? Or do you go ahead and notify them and give your two weeks when you sign a written offer letter?

Job search check-in: I've had 4 real interviews in the past 2 months (not phone screens). Made it to final round for 3. Two went with internal candidates, the third had me competing against a whole cohort for limited spots. Two were top tech companies, two were mid-sized firms. Getting these interviews took serious work-networking, referrals, outreach. Final round three times and still no offer is discouraging, but I'm staying on it. Anyone else grinding through this?How's it going for you?

For those of you who may have excited later in your consulting career, Director/AP/SM levels, what were some of the reasons you left?

Hi everyone, today is my last day at work due to being laid off.. and I’m just very sad so I’m looking for encouragement mostly. Not my first time being laid off, but still, I’m grieving and feeling lost and scared of the uncertain future. The role was in house strategy at fortune 500 legacy tech.
